After Twitter suspended Donald Trump's account permanently, Facebook followed suit by banning him "indefinitely." Meanwhile, the Parler app - Trump supporters' preferred alternative to Twitter and Facebook - was dropped by Google, Apple, and Amazon. Such moves could put the tech giants under more scrutiny as they are moving closer to the role of publishers, rather than mere platforms.
