During the weekend of April 18, 2020, a shooting rampage in rural Nova Scotia became Canada’s deadliest mass shooting to date, claiming the lives of 22 people, including a 17-year-old. The perpetrator also set fires at 16 locations in the area before he was shot and killed by the Royal Canadian Mounted Police.
